Petunia: We're Fawnin' Over Flora

His name? No one knows, just call him Petunia. Where is he from? Equally a mystery. (Although he has a French-Canadian look to him doesn't he?) His voice? Golden. His instrumentation? Inspired. His style? Dapper. His musical accompaniment? Pure bedrock. (Be they Loons, Vipers, his brother, or the likewise dapper Sean Conway on banjolin/manjo in these videos.)

Petunia was kind enough to join us here in Guelph to film these videos and play an incredible set for a privileged crowd downtown, along with the frantic and frenetic washtub-bass wielding beat-poet/blues archivist "The Minimalist Jug Band". After you fall in love with Petunia in these videos, be sure to cruise on over to his website to listen to more tunes and get some records we garden-tee you'll love.
